scripture tote bag instructions

1. Iron on any ribbon using heat n bond and then topstitch on to placemat, I used tan thread on top and brown in the bobbin so it didn't show the tan on the inside of the bag (ribbon is optional)
2. Put wrong sides together and sew up each side
3. Form a triangle with pointer finger on each side of the bottom of the bag. Sew a straight stitch across it
4. Sew on handles using a rectangle pattern (four rectangles two for each handle) I used belting from Hancock Faric and burned the edges of the handles to prevent fraying
Hints: Thinner placemats work better than thick, Target, Linen's and Things, Bed Bath and Beyond, and Pier 1 have good placemat selections.

Thanks for sharing this. I'm trying it out of some fabric napkins i got on clearance at walmart. It will be a little smaller, but perfect to hold just a book of mormon.
